Silently...

They were out for walk when she turned him away
He was not gonna like it but she had to say

His face went pale and he put up his guard
Knowing her news would hit him hard

She said she can't love him, she was sorry, she tried
It was his left eye that teared, but his heart that cried

He said he loves her and he turned and ran
She called and yelled, "you're not even a man !"

She chased after him, though he drifted from sight
She was so scared now, concerned that he might

She got to his house, her worst fear came true
As he stood holding the knife, he yelled, "screw you !"

It took this moment to help her see
That she truly loved him, and he truly loved her

Now her love is on the edge, and it wasn't an act
She told him she loved him, that she took it all back

He said, "it's a lie, you don't love me
But this kitchen knife does and it can set me free !"

She started to beg, please honey, no
But he closed his eyes and in it did go

It was so much pain he couldn't stand anymore
He dropped to his knees, then down to the floor

She ran to his body and crouched at his side
The pain she was feeling she couldn't hide

It was all her fault, that her love took his life
It may as well have been her, holding the knife

She held his hand, and touched his face
She tried to stop the bleeding just above his waist

The last thing he said is forever in her mind
That she killed her true love and that's hard to find

She told him she loved him and she started to cry
He turned his head away, and silently died..
