Depths of Yourself

When you look at nothing

You look down to yourself—

You know what you should

You know what you should not!

You look deep into your eyes,

You gaze deeper into your heart—

In your eyes you see your dreams

You go crazy…

You try to grab them

All at once!

But you forget that

You have got only two hands…

Thus, you get only two—the rest are lost,

Lost forever!

You get disappointed—and sit

Weeping at the loss of the others,

But firmly grabbing those two dreams

Which are your, and only your own!

In your heart you find many thoughts

Some are your own—some related to others.

Others—whom you are close enough.

But most of your heart is filled with darkness.

A darkness which has a mystery surrounding it—

A darkness where you find only one name—

Only one soul—

Only one wish—

‘To rest in peace’!

You put up your hands in search of help—

But you get nothing—

You are alone there drowning

In the elixir of life,

Gasping for breath….

You try to hold on to something—

And at last,

You find a sense of touch, a sense of love.

You try to look up,

To see the one who let herself save you!

When you look at her,

She smiles—

A smile that would never fade,

A smile that brings ecstasy,

A smile that heals all your pains!

And then she leaves your hands,

Lets you drown deep inside your heart!

And you let yourself go—

Go to the ultimate end of your soul,

Looking at her face,

You let her come in your heart

And fill its darkness by her name—

The light of which will never fade!
